Stockport UNISON (LG) branch are supporting the national climate strike day of action on 14 Feb by hosting a 'Love the Earth' Climate Protest.

The protest is open to everyone. We are gathering on the Art Gallery steps for a peaceful demonstration. Everyone is welcome to join us – bring placards/banners etc and show your concern for the future of our planet.

Climate change is striking far harder and faster than expected and, if we continue along our current path, catastrophic climate change is inevitable.

We will be calling for an immediate halt to ‘business as usual’, a far swifter move away from fossil fuels and global climate justice.
