Slovenian Delegation visits UNISON North West

APMechanicsThe positive exchange of information and experience between the Slovenian Works Council Association and UNISON continued last week, when a delegation visited our region.

The delegation was welcomed by Deputy Regional Convenor Paula Barker and heard from UNISON Regional Manager Steve Stott and TUC National Organiser Carl Roper on the challenges facing the trade union movement. The delegation also met with colleagues Angie Greenhalgh and Steve Dickson from the North West Gas Branch to discuss worker participation in decision-making at the company level.

UNISON North West has a proud history of internationalism and international solidarity with links with trade unionists in Colombia, Palestine, South Africa, Cuba, Nicaragua, France, Germany and Italy. The union continues to learn from and assist trade unionists around the world.
