Regionally we offer short courses and one day workshops from the Open University and the Workers’ Education Association in popular subjects e.g.

• Menopause in the Workplace
• Dementia Awareness
• Autism Awareness
• Managing Challenging Behaviour
• Attachment in the Early Years
• Mental Health Awareness
• Drug calculations

We work with other partner organisations to deliver exciting, innovative learning opportunities, for example Show Racism the Red Card and Writing on the Wall. Please see our website for more information or get in touch with Diana Warren [email protected]

Make Menopause Matter!

We ran a successful Menopause in the Workplace Webinar with over seventy participants, and we have run branch events. In a union of a million women and an aging workforce Menopause education is so important for our members and activists so we are putting together a ‘Make Menopause Matter’ toolkit that will be launched at a World Menopause Day event in Manchester on 18th October, 2022.

The toolkit will include four bite size video courses that can be run at branch and workplace events; supporting resources and best practice case studies and example policies and care packages.

Union Learning Reps

A one day event on Learning with your union and revitalising the Union Learning Rep (ULR) role—22nd October 2022, Manchester in conjunction with TUC education.
