The event is being organised jointly by the UCU and UNISON to look at what the future holds for post-16 skills and education. This is a chance to hear expert opinion on the latest developments and to contribute to the trade union response, as we work to ensure that our members' jobs and conditions are protected and that we have an education system that delivers for everybody.

Topics that will be discussed include:

  • Apprenticeships
  • Devolution
  • Area Reviews
  • The Higher Education Bill
  • Institutes of Technology
  • The Future of Colleges

An excellent line-up of speakers will include:

  • Dr Vicky Duckworth and Dr Rob Smith, FE Transforming Lives Project
  • Ruth Levin, UNISON National Policy Officer, Education
