                                       This session is restricted to female UNISON members only

This session will provide a brief introduction of what the menopause is, common problems and how to cope with them and sources of information/ organisations that can support.

By the end of the session attendees will have an understanding of:


What the menopause is and why women have the menopause


At what age women have the menopause and what the common the symptoms are


How menopause can affect work and how work or the workplace affect women going through the menopause

 

What the law says about the menopause


What solutions there are to support women going through the menopause and what additional support is available


 Why this needs to be more than a women’s issue
