“We are a caring community within the hospital and local area”.
UNISON rep Margie Rogers met with local MP Stephen Twigg at Royal Liverpool Hospital to celebrate the positive impact that trade unions have for working people and the wider community.
Stephen Twigg commented:
“I am happy to support UNISON. Being a member of a trade union delivers better pay, improved conditions and greater safety in your work place. I’d encourage everyone to join a trade union for fairness and dignity at work”.
Margie Rogers said:
“Our local UNISON branch doesn’t just support you at work when needed.
“We also provide financial support and donations to our local food bank and we support members who suffer financial difficulties by offering school uniform grants. There For You, UNISON’s charity, helps members with financial support by paying urgent bill demands and providing financial advice.

This week is ‘Heart Unions’ week, which highlights the good work that unions do every day to offer everyone a voice at work.
