Greater Manchester Citizens- get involved

Greater Manchester Citizens works with a variety of institutions across Greater Manchester including, trade unions, schools, faith institutions and community groups. The group works as an alliance of institutions and community leaders to influence decisions and negotiate changes for the common good.

UNISON North West was one of the first organisations to work with GM Citizens and we have had a number of campaigns important to UNISON members moved forward as GM Citizens campaigns. We need UNISON members to have their voices heard on the next campaigns.

Greater Manchester Citizens has campaigned on many issues and negotiated with the Greater Manchester Mayor on issues ranging from housing and homelessness, social care, hate crime and encouraging more employers to pay a real Living Wage. These are all issues which affect the lives and prospects of people across Greater Manchester.

If you are interested in getting involved some of the next campaigns and meetings can be found below or you can email Sarah France [email protected] or Conor McGurran [email protected] for more information on getting involved.
