Craig was a formidable representative and campaigner on behalf of UNISON members working in the Ambulance Service.  Prior to the creation of NWAS he was the Branch Secretary of the Greater Manchester Ambulance Service Branch.

He played a full role in the union at branch, regional and national levels.  He was very determined in his defence of public services and the NHS, and was a leading campaigner against privatisation.

Craig led his branch with warmth, courage and integrity and he will be greatly missed by his many friends in UNISON.

Craig’s funeral will be held on Friday 16 October at 11.30am at Monton Unitarian Church, Eccles M30 8AP.  If you would like to attend, please contact Jeff Gorman: [email protected]

The branch has issued a wonderful tribute to Craig which can be read here: Tribute_to_Craig_Wilde.pdf
