    Staying Strong - Stress Management, Liverpool, Monday 24th Feb 2020

    This two hour course explores the physical and behavioural effects of stress, the different types of stress and how members can manage them.

    You will learn:

    How to identify the physical, behavioural and psychological signs of stress, in yourself and others

    Identify the different types of stress

    Develop awareness of different strategies you can use to counteract the different types of stress

    Measures you can take to alleviate stress and promote mental health wellbeing in your life

    Handling Pupil Violence, PRIMARY aged Children, Blackpool, 6th April 2020

    Part of our Schools Support Staff course offer, this half day session looks at de-escalating violent situations and how to recognise signs and signals that pre-empt a violent outburst from pupils with a focus specifically on PRIMARY school age children. Great for any TAs or schools support staff. In the course you will learn:


    • To examine the reasons why young people display challenging behaviour
    • To explore ways in which we can influence a positive learning environment
    • To identify different types of challenging behaviour
    • To share, discuss and reflect on strategies for preventing and managing challenging behaviour and pupil violence

    This half day session is held in Blackpool.

    The tutor for this session is Jez Brigham, he is currently Deputy Head of a special school and has had a broad career working at a primary school and with children with SEN. He has developed strategies for dealing with extremely challenging behaviour and has delivered training to education teams and teachers.
