Understanding ADHD, Carlisle 2019

This course gives a good grounding in understanding Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). In the course you will learn:


• ADHD and the 3 subtypes
• Recognising symptoms of ADHD
• To understand the main signs of hyperactivity and impulsiveness
• To Identify the main signs of inattentiveness
• To share, discuss and reflect on strategies for supporting young people who have a diagnosis of/display symptoms of ADHD


The tutor for this session is Jez Brigham, he is currently Deputy Head of a special school and has had a broad career working at a primary school and with children with SEN. He has developed strategies for dealing with extremely challenging behaviour and has delivered training to education teams and teachers.
