North West Launch of NHS Pledge Campaign

The Labour Party’s NHS Pledge campaign had its North West launch on Friday 16th November. The event held at NW UNISON regional centre in Manchester attracted over 40 people from local authorities and union branches across the region. Andrew Gwen MP stressed the importance of the pledge in fighting the many attacks on the NHS.

Paul Foley argued that the government  has declared war on the NHS and they are determined to destroy the service through financial cuts and privatisation. The 5 pledges are a rallying point for communities, unions, local authorities to campaign round to build a strong defence of  our NHS
