UNISON will once again be marching in this year’s Liverpool Pride, which takes place this Saturday (1st August).
All members, plus their families and friends, are welcome to march with UNISON. There is no need to register your attendance, so feel free to just turn up on the day.
UNISON Blackpool branch is organising a march on Monday (27th) to protest against the Council’s plans to close its remaining nursery provision in the town.
The Council currently runs nurseries in two deprived areas – Grange Park and Talbot & Brunswick. The nurseries are well-used and are focal points for local communities.
Responding to the outcome of the Healthier Together process, and the announcement that there are to be four specialist hospitals conducting high-risk emergency surgery at Central Manchester, Salford, Oldham and Stockport, UNISON North West Head of Health Amy Barringer said:
