March & Rally Against NHS Privatisation: Chorley, Saturday 25 April, 12 noon

Central Lancashire Health Branch have organised an anti-privatisation march and rally in Chorley town centre on Saturday.

The Branch is currently resisting proposals to outsource Chorley Hospital’s sterile services function to Synergy.  Private companies including Virgin, Ramsay and Lloyds have already taken over NHS functions at Chorley Hospital.

The march is a chance to show that we don’t believe that healthcare should be run for private profit.  It is a chance for people in Chorley and beyond to show how much they care about the NHS and their local hospitals.

The march will assemble at Chancery Road, next to Derian House from 12 noon

The march will set off at 1pm and travel along the following route:

Chancery Road – Euxton Lane - Preston Road – Park Road – Market St – Fleet Street

There will be a rally directly after the march at Fleet Street long stay car park.

Please come along and support the branch’s campaign and support an NHS that is not for sale.
